Joshua’s delicate watercolour captures a quiet moment in the Slovak landscape. With soft washes and gentle lines, Slovakia reflects the calm beauty of open countryside - perhaps a hillside, a distant tree line, or the light falling across a path. The simplicity of the scene invites a sense of stillness and space.
Painted on paper, this piece carries the lightness and immediacy that watercolour allows, capturing not just the view, but the feeling of being there in that quiet place.
Original, one-of-a-kind work.

Approx. 20cm x 30cm.
About the maker: Joshua Lea
Joshua approaches painting with a romantic sensibility, depicting British landscapes and river scenes in oil paint. Using sensitively applied colour he builds up rich layers of brush marks to portray these timeless scenes, referencing back to 18th century painters. Each piece draws on the enduring landscapes of Britain: the Lake District, the banks of the Thames, the Solway coast.
