A Celebration of British Heritage Crafts
Since our beginning, we've been digital-native - connecting you with artisans whose skills have been passed down through generations. Now, we're creating a space where you can experience these crafts in person, meet the makers behind them, and understand why their work matters.
This pop-up is more than a shop. It's a living exhibition of Britain's endangered heritage crafts, and a chance to be part of preserving them.
Why Pimlico?
We couldn't have chosen a more fitting location. Pimlico Road is home to brilliant British craftsmanship - antique specialists, furniture makers, and some of the greatest interior designers in the UK. It's a street that understands the value of heritage, quality, and timeless design.
For us, it felt like the perfect spot to showcase makers like Simon, Scotland's last oak swill basket maker, alongside artisans keeping alive the traditions of hand-laid rope, quilted tapestries, and handmade brushes.
The Craft We're Keeping Alive
165 heritage crafts are now at risk of vanishing from the UK. These aren't just beautiful objects - they're living threads of our cultural heritage. Practices that employ manual dexterity and an understanding of traditional materials, passed down for two or more successive generations.
At The Haud, we believe these skills are integral to our social fabric. They're representative of our national heritage, and without urgent action, could disappear within a generation.
Every piece in our pop-up tells a story. Every purchase keeps a tradition breathing.
This Christmas, Give Heritage
Looking for gifts that carry meaning? Our pop-up offers something rare: pieces that bind past, present, and future in enduring beauty.
From oak baskets woven using techniques centuries old, to hand-painted landscapes capturing England's green and pleasant land, to quilted tapestries hand-stitched to last a lifetime - each item is a testament to skill, patience, and the human hand.
When you buy from The Haud, you're not just supporting an artisan. You're helping safeguard our living heritage for future generations.
