Power of No: Wall Works

After the corset was shown and the response to it was strong, Ksenia carried the idea onto the wall. These are hand-embroidered textile compositions about refusal, grief and anger, faces worked in greyscale thread on a grey ground, framed and hung as a set or singly. It is an ongoing series rather than a finished body of work, which makes it the obvious route for a commission: a piece responding to a particular person, pressure or silence rather than a repeat of an existing one.
