Inspired by retro-futuristic design, the idea for this came during a vintage sci-fi novel reading binge.
This was printed using the traditional reduction linocut technique, where more of the same block is carved away between each new layer of ink. The block is ultimately destroyed through this process, making these prints truly limited edition.
The print is 18 by 14cm on Somerset 250gsm satin paper.
A signed and numbered limited edition of ten. It arrives unframed in a recyclable, card-backed envelope.

Megan Tailford carves every block and pulls every print by hand. Nothing is reproduced digitally and nothing is printed by a machine. She prints some of it on paper she mills herself out of misprints and junk mail.
