Dogfish carved along a length of spalted beech, gills and tail cut in and the spalting showing through

Carved Dogfish in Spalted Beech

by Turn and Burn UKPrice on application

A dogfish carved along the length of a spalted beech board, so the fish follows the shape the timber already had. The gills and the long tail are cut in, the spalting left showing through the flank. The reference for this one was a three-dimensional print, dissected and studied before anything was cut. Bee works from whatever gets the anatomy right.
