I make bentwood rings using various wood species by carefully steam bending a wooden strip around itself while applying glue. Then I use a mixture of a lathe and hand sanding to shape the ring which is then finished with oil or a highly polished glue based finish.
Every ring I make has its own unique character and personality. The ring that you will own will be like no other.

I’m a plasterer by trade and in my spare time I’ve tried various hobbies and projects, some more successful than others.
I stumbled upon a website showing how to steam bend wood and thought I can do that. I made my first ring and it’s grown from there. I’m completely self taught and have made many mistakes to get where I am today. I’m still learning and honing my craft, finding new techniques and methods to continually improve.
I’ve been making rings for over 10 years now and hope to do so for many more years.
Wherever possible I obtain my woods from UK based sustainable suppliers.
I personally collect many of the inlay materials, for example the Lake District slate from the Borrowdale Valley and then Skye marble from a family holiday there a few years ago.
I also welcome customers to send me materials to use such as stones from a local beach to use as inlay materials.
