Greig Alderman makes each bangle by lampworking at his studio in Manchester. The I Dedico series began during his MA in Craft and responds to Romano-British glass bangles of the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, as a contemporary answer to those objects rather than a copy of them. This one is a medium, 63 to 65 mm across the inside.
Borosilicate glass is strong and durable, and clear glass especially catches and bends the light as the bangle moves. Colour, form and pattern vary from piece to piece, so the bangle you receive may differ subtly from the one pictured.
