Made in Britain · by James Francis|14-day returns

Three tools reproduced from those found with Ötzi, the Iceman who lived between 3350 and 3105 BC and was discovered in the Ötztal Alps in 1991. The centrepiece is his dagger, which survived complete, with its flint blade still set into an ash wood handle. The original is 13 cm long.

James Francis makes the dagger the way the original was made: the blade is forced into the ash handle, bound with sinew, and finished with a cord tied to the end of the handle. The only differences are a synthetic sinew and a local flint. The scraper is a long, thin flake worked on both faces, and the burin is a small square flake with a spall removed from one corner to leave an engraving point, both matched to the archaeological drawings of the originals.

Ötzi is Europe's oldest known natural human mummy, and an arrowhead found in his left shoulder suggests he was killed by another person. The edges are very sharp, so the set is sold to over-18s only. Made to order and sent within ten working days.
