An embroidered composition of Lady Slipper orchids, abstracted and mirrored around a central grid, worked onto deep purple velvet. There is no fixed top or bottom, so the piece can hang whichever way suits the wall. It belongs to Ksenia's Tropical Garden exploration but stands alone as a direction she will not repeat.
She builds the surface with a mix of couture and freer creative stitching: shimmering threadwork, sculptural shapes and padded areas that lift the design off the velvet, giving the piece a dimensional, almost architectural presence.
The artwork is A3 (about 30 × 42 cm), stretched on a wooden frame and ready to hang; no glass or further framing is needed. One of a kind.
