This print features a quote from L'Aüstic (the Nightingale), a 12th century Anglo-Norman poem by Marie de France. The poem tells of two lovers who meet at night -- under the guise of listening to the nightingale sing.
Both the original Anglo-Norman lines and an English translation have been typeset by hand.
This print was made to raise money for an upcoming short film adaptation of the 'Laustic' tale. All sales fund production.
