Commission a piece

Yes. Many of our makers take commissions. Message the maker with what you have in mind and a rough budget, and they will talk it through with you and send a quote.

It depends on the piece, the materials and the time it takes, so most commissions are priced on application. The quote tells you the full price before you pay anything, and some makers show a starting price on their work.

Anything from a few days for a small piece to several months for furniture or a large textile. The maker sets out the timeline in the quote, so tell them at the start if you need it by a particular date.

You accept the quote by paying through The Haud. Larger pieces may be paid in stages, such as a deposit and then the balance, and each stage is requested by the maker as the work reaches it.

Because a commission is made just for you, the 14-day right to change your mind does not apply once you have accepted a quote. The refund terms set out in your quote apply instead, so read them before you pay.

Yes, but ask as early as you can and tell the maker the date you need it by. They will tell you honestly whether it can be made and delivered in time.
